Our Story

Wild Path Institute was born from both discipline and disruption.

From a shared longing to bring the heart back into the helping professions.

The four of us met at Norman Hall, home to the College of Education at the University of Florida. It offered us the training, licensure, and evidence-based frameworks that shaped our professional foundations.

It also revealed the limits of a system that could feel dry, standardized, and overly manualized—a way of doing therapy that sometimes lost touch with the pulse of being human.

Therapists and facilitators from Wild Path Institute in their Gainesville space

Our story began in the spaces in between.

Wild Path Institute grew from a shared vision — a desire to create a space where healing, learning, and community could truly meet. Colleagues and friends began dreaming together, imagining a center where therapy, education, embodiment, and ritual could weave into a living practice of transformation. That dream evolved into a clear intention: to build a place that embodies connection, wholeness, and belonging.

Together, we formed a collective that aims to honor both the scholar and the poet within.

Our Mission

Our mission is to cultivate a continuous path of learning that nurtures compassion and capability. Fluid and organic, our approach to healing supports nervous system regulation, emotional resilience, and soul-level insight.

By integrating non-pathologizing, trauma-informed care with counseling, somatic practices, and relational experiences, we empower individuals to navigate life with authenticity and awareness. As an evolving collective, we adapt with curiosity and care, embodying radical inclusivity and emergent strategy to meet the evolving needs of our community.

Wild Path Institute is a living, breathing sanctuary for somatic education, trauma-informed care, mentorship, and community practice — a place where people come to remember their innate wholeness and walk their own wild path toward healing.
