Grief Support for Care Providers
A monthly grief circle for care providers — because before you can hold space for others, someone needs to hold space for you.
If you spend your days caring for other people — as a therapist, coach, doctor, nurse, caregiver, birth or death doula, midwife, first responder, or in any role where you hold space for others — this circle is built for you.
Caregivers carry so much for other people: their fear, their pain, their worst nights. Underneath all that holding, your own grief is waiting. Not to be fixed or resolved, but tended — given room to move, so it doesn't have to stay locked in the body alone.
Tending Grief Circles is that room. A monthly gathering where you can turn toward grief instead of pushing it aside, and find in community what's harder to find alone. This is a place to be with others who know exactly what it means to hold space for people, day after day — because they carry it too.
There's no agenda here, and nothing to get right. Just shared humanity, and the beginning of a practice of caring for the caregivers.
This work draws on the grief ritual traditions of Francis Weller and Laurence Cole, honoring the lineage of their teachers, including Malidoma Somé and Sobonfu Somé, who carried these traditions from the Dagara people of Burkina Faso to the West.
When We Gather One Thursday a month, September through December 2026, from 6–7:30pm at Wild Path Institute. Come to one circle, or come to all four — each stands on its own.
